Brief Biography:

Dr. Delali Polycarp is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Hospitality Management, with over 12 years of teaching and research at the undergraduate level at the Bolgatanga Technical University. He holds a Doctoral degree in Food Science and Technology, minor in Human Nutrition and Food, from the University of the Philippines, Los Baños. He has been teaching courses in food science, food processing, food analysis, food engineering, food microbiology, food hygiene and safety, food quality assurance, and nutrition since 2012. He has led the development of several academic curricula, including Master of Technology in Hospitality Management, Bachelor of Science in Food Processing Technology, Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management, Bachelor of Technology in Hospitality Management, and Diploma in Hospitality Management. In addition, he supervises the dissertations of several students and is currently the lead investigator in “Development of Indigenous Food-Based Ready-to-Eat Products from less explored raw materials in Sub-Saharan Africa”. He has co-authored several works on Ghanaian yam germplasm. His career objective is to conduct research and train persons on food safety, good manufacturing practices, food preservation, and food product development to ensure food safety and security, leading towards national development. He is a professional member of the Ghana Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (GhAFOST). He is a devout Christian and is married with four daughters. He is someone you can trust; he will surely not disappoint.
